This site is dedicated to exploring the wilds of metro Detroit’s fascinating foodscapes. From taco trucks in Mexican Town to pierogis in Hamtramck, it’s all fair game for my adventurous appetite.
I might also slip in some tid-bits about urban agriculture, ’cause Detroit’s just cool like that.
Oh, and me? I’ve been living in (and eating my way through) some amazing food cities, like New Orleans and Seattle, and have found myself inexplicably relocated to the Midwest.
Even more surprising is that I’ve found food here truly worthy of my love, respect and adulation. And I’m here to share.

Detroit is a great food town. You just have to know where to look. Try Dequindre in Madison Heights. Some great Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants and grocerys.

I love Vietnamese! Used to eat it al the time when I lived in New Orleans. Love me some Pho! (Little known fact: New Orleans has a huge Vietnamese population!) Thanks so much for the tip!
